'Sweet game'
The legal representative, presenting evidence, outlined the defendant's actions to the judicial body.
She stated his those affected were under-privileged children who were participating in a summer program which he operated.
The man conducted a "treat game" with the minors, the legal counsel stated, in which he would enter the boys' rooms when they were settling down and tell them to consume candy "as quickly as they can".
She informed the proceedings the defendant had played this game with the boys "for many years", and youngsters had previously become sick the next day.
She stated the man had been capable of justifying this for many years as the children being "overstimulated by activities", until his family member had concerns in summer 2025.
The prosecutor continued: "In the summer" his stepchild had suspicions about the situation, for good reason.
"They chose" to investigate in the individual's items."
The legal counsel said items including baby oil, ointment and injection devices were found, and his stepson contacted the police about his suspicions.
She stated the man proceeded to play the "sweet game" with six youngsters that evening - July 26th - and they were all sick the next day.
"Law enforcement" had not arrived by that stage," she continued.
The oversight body, the investigative body, previously told that it was investigating the police response of the situation.
Mrs Prior stated the minors were having difficulty walking due to being ill, so the stepson called the police once more.
She explained the man then conducted the "treat game" in a room of five youngsters.
